　　Job Description

　　Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:

　　The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) performs laboratory testing,preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration of equipment,quality control procedures and is responsible for the validity of testresults.

　　This is a full-time position, with the following work schedule;

　　Thursday-Sunday, 3:00pm-1:30am

　　Essential Job Duties:

　　Level I - Minimum

　　Perform laboratory assays in accordance with Viracor Eurofinsstandard operating proceduresOperate, calibrate and maintain all laboratory equipment andinstruments according to standard operating procedures to ensurequality resultsMaintain adequate inventory of supplies, reagents and materialsAccept or reject test results in accordance with standard operatingproceduresDocument remedial action, troubleshooting, quality assuranceactivities and instrument maintenanceAdhere to established processing timelinesAdhere to all quality and safety standardsOther duties as assigned by managementLevel II - Fully meets the responsibilities of Level I plus thefollowing:

　　General knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure writing, assaytheory, and instrumentationOrient, mentor and teach clinical laboratory methods, procedures andtechniques to new AssociatesDemonstrate effective teamwork skills by knowledge sharingTake on formally-assigned additional duties, such as training, as apart of routine job performanceParticipate on special project teams as requested by supervisorystaffLevel III - Fully meets the responsibilities of Level II plus thefollowing:

　　Obtain advanced knowledge of Viracor Eurofins standard operatingprocedures assays, and instrumentationParticipate in troubleshooting activities in conjunction withTechnical SupervisorVolunteer to serve on various committees and panels to the benefitof the laboratory or company in general (e.g. Safety Committee)Performs train the trainer and Qualified Personnel responsibilitiesas assignedSenior CLS - Fully meets the responsibilities of Level III plus thefollowing:

　　Leads or executes complex special projects outside of a standard CLSscope. For example, lead an audit prep team or processUtilize extensive company and technical knowledge to participate inaudits and defend company practices as neededQualifications

　　Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

　　Level I - Minimum

　　BS or BA in biological, physical, chemical or clinical laboratoryscience1 year of clinical laboratory experienceWilling to work with potentially infectious human blood and bodyfluidsAbility to work with automated and manual platformsMust possess skills required for aseptic techniquesIntermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programsDemonstrates a high level of integrity and honesty in performingtests, documenting test results and maintaining patient, client,employee and laboratory business confidentialityExcellent verbal & written communication skillsAnalytical judgment, problem solving skills, accuracy and strongdetail orientedLevel II - Fully meets the qualifications of Level I plus the following:

　　Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience at CLS I levelworkPossess the required skills to perform the additional levelrequirements aboveLevel III - Fully meets the qualifications of Level II plus thefollowing:

　　Minimum of 6 years of clinical laboratory experience, inclusive ofViracor tenure as a Laboratory TechnicianCompleted train-the-trainer program and possess the skillset to be atrainer and Qualified PersonnelPossess advanced knowledge and troubleshooting capabilityHas demonstrated achievement in advancing laboratory improvements,including participation in committees, panels, process improvementteams, or other related activitiesSenior CLS - Fully meets the qualifications of Level III plus thefollowing:

　　Minimum of 9 years of clinical laboratory experience, inclusive ofViracor tenure as a Laboratory Technician

　　Possess in-depth technical knowledge
