  Background & Purpose of the Job

  The Hair Business Unit is looking for a Lab Technician to join the dynamic, fast-paced R&D Team in North America. North America Hair is one of the biggest regions in the category, with Brands like Dove, TRESemmé, Nexxus and Shea Moisture, the NA BU is responsible for 1.4 billion USD in Turnover.

  The candidate for this position will support the North America Product Development team in the Validation and execution of the Innovation program and Cost Savings and Business continuity strategy for Hair Care, involving Batching and Scale up of Hair products, including Shampoos, Conditioners, Hair treatments and styling (aerosol and non-aerosols). The Candidate will interact with the different functions within R&D (Processing, formulation, claims, analytical). The candidate will also work with the different manufacturing sites to guarantee the availability of raw materials and finished product standards prior to production.

  Who You Are & What You'll Do

  The role involves batching, (bench and pilot scale) cross brand and technologies in Hair North America, should be able to conduct tests, compile data, evaluate and interpret results as well as effectively communicate in verbal and written form. The candidate should also have exceptional organizational skills to make sure the laboratories are compliant with Safety and Regulatory standards, managing raw materials inventory, SOPs and documentation for the entire Business Unit.You're a born leader: You will manage assigned product development projects, with minimal guidance. Working with cross functional teams to meet category objectives and innovation ship to trade dates.You're a strategy guru: You will provide product options and develop, test and modify if necessary to meet consumer, customer and factory needs within a set timeframe and cost requirements.You're a dot connector: Deliver effectively within a cross functional team, understanding impacts of changes made by other functions and understanding how to deliver solutions when issues arise. You're a changemaker: You will bring new ideas and solutions to the table to deliver exciting innovations to the market place to continue TRESemmé market leadershipWhat You'll Need to SucceedAssociates degree with general science background with previous experience is ideal but not required (internships accepted).Flexibility and open mindedness in achieving objectives is required.Ability to work well in teams and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with others.Able to work independently or with limited supervision, have strong technical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.Pay: The pay range for this position is $49,800 to $74,800. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

  Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

  Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
