Job Description

Performs sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products to assure they meet established specifications.

Evaluates Bill of Material (BOM) for completeness and proper documentation.

Records test data and maintains laboratory work list in LIMS system to assure timely release of finished products.

Reports nonconformance with immediate corrective actions in LIMS system.

Performs required inspection for manufacturing equipment, storage equipment, and sanitation cleaning.

Participates in check sample program with outside institution(s) and in internal proficiency program to verify accuracy.

Assists with Raw Material testing, COA review, and COA filing.

Inspect Finished Product Packaging to ensure label and configurations are correct.

Approve and apply final wrap with automated equipment.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related.

6 months of laboratory experience from industry or academia.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate with individuals in a small group setting.

Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
