Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide leadership to lab and hourly personnel to ensure safety rules are followed –
Assist with sampling and transporting samples to the labs for analysis.
Work closely with the plant teams and sales on tons shipped and ensure sample frequency is being met per the Quality Control Plan.
Produced the weekly report shipped and email to the appropriate people.
Work closely with plant teams to ensure successful production of finished products and delivery to customers.
Provide statistical analysis on quality and operations data supporting the success of the plant team
Communicate data analysis with various functional teams including sales and operations and work together with those teams in successfully supplying material to customers
Lead the laboratory team to continuously improve personal performance
Ensure regulatory requirements are met with regards to chemical disposal, proper PPE when handling chemicals
Customer reporting can include daily, weekly and monthly
Coordination of lab testing equipment maintenance and calibration
Schedule external/internal lab services and order lab consumables
Fulfill customer requests – additional analysis, samples to be sent out
Receives incoming parts, and maintains inventory control and multiple sites
Verifies inventory stock balance, make sure parts are tagged and located in designated areas at each site
Ensures warehouse areas are kept clean, neat and orderly
Maintains weekly inventory record of fuels and lubes
Conducts physical inventory of parts and supplies on an “as scheduled” basis; orders supplies as needed
Key punching received purchase orders
Receives incoming parts, maintains inventory control of items received/charged out of warehouse areas
Job Qualifications:
Related Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Geology is preferred
3+ supervisory experience with strong leadership skills
Minimum 5 years laboratory progressive experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Level II Agg Certified, or ability to become so within 6 months
Prior experience in inventory tracking preferred
Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills, knowledge of continuous manufacturing sector
Strong math and organizational skills along with ability to meet deadlines
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures; strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn ERP program
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently while also operating in a team environment with friendly, proactive and assertive nature
High level of integrity motivation
Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines
Fluency in spoken and written English
