  We seek a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our development team to build the next generation of Cloud and Service Management capabilities for the SHI One platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions in a diverse technology stack, including .NET, React, SQL, Databricks, Python, and Elasticsearch. Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a strong sense of pride in their work, and can adapt quickly to new challenges.

  This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

  Responsibilities

  Including, but not limited to:

  Software Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain software solutions using various programming languages and technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, React, SQL Server, Postgres, Databricks, Python, Terraform, and Elasticsearch.

  Technical Leadership: Teach, mentor, and mature our software development practice and be a technical leader within the organization.

  Problem Solving: Demonstrate a keen problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify and address complex technical issues efficiently.

  Intellectual Curiosity: Exhibit a strong desire to learn and explore emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills.

  Software Craftsmanship: Maintain a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and debugging.

  Continuous Improvement: Participate in agile ceremonies, providing valuable feedback to improve team processes and efficiency.

  Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and support continuous development efforts.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  5+ years experience developing modern web applications using Java, C#, or Python backends and Angular, React or Vue frontends

  5+ years experience with C#, ASP.NET Core and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 5+)

  Proven experience using object-oriented programming and modern front-end frameworks, along with data modeling and database design

  Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.

  Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.

  Advanced understanding of design patterns

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  Preferred Skills

  Hands-on experience with developing Platforms-as-a-Service applications on either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services

  Experience designing and implementing event-driven and distributed architectures

  Experience using Databricks or a similar platform to manage data pipelines

  Understanding of DevOps methodologies and concepts, including CI/CD

  Understanding of Test-driven development (TDD) and an ability to write practical unit tests

  Unique Requirements

  Less than 10% of travel neededAdditional Information

  This position's estimated annual pay range is $115,000- $180,000 including a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
