Eastman Chemical Company is seeking an Integrated Planner (Multiple Positions) in Kingsport, TN.
Summary of Duties: Monitor and optimize supply plans to maximize value through a focus on asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics cost, inventory control, and product transition minimization; manage all site scheduling within appropriate systems (i.e., SAP, OMP, etc.) and effectively communicate planning strategy with impacted stakeholders; lead weekly cross-functional Operational Excellence Supply Meeting; provide demand forecasts to raw material supply planner based on the Master Production Schedules (MPS); model “what-if” scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions; execute the business plan inventory targets, refresh the safety stock, target stock, and cycle stock calculations a minimum of twice per year; develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of key customers, markets, and products in area of responsibility; and interface with materials handling, manufacturing, logistics, QA, receiving, purchasing, and other planning groups.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related occupation which provides the required experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field and no experience.
Position also requires any experience with the following: Supply Chain Processes; MRP II Principles and Concepts; Statistical Analysis (hypothesis testing, regression, or design of experiments); and Mathematical Modeling (simulation or optimization). Skills may be gained concurrently as part of an educational course of study.
