Job Title: Kit Assembler
Job Description
The Automated KIT Production department builds kits for clinical trials research, sample collection, and other human sample collection. Employees will be trained across four stations, starting with the 'Kit Cell', where they will stand for 12-hour shifts during the initial 2-3 weeks of training. The job involves standing in an individual space with a computer screen and about 200 small bins surrounding them. The computer directs the order, and employees pick items from the bins, pack them into boxes, label them correctly, and place them on a conveyor belt to be sent to packing. This is a repetitive job, but once proficiency is demonstrated, employees will be cross-trained in PKA, POPULAR PICK, and PACK stations.
Responsibilities
Stand for 12-hour shifts during initial training and perform repetitive tasks
Pick items from bins as directed by a computer and pack them into boxes
Carefully label the boxes and place them on a conveyor belt for packing
Rotate between standing and sitting jobs, including building small batch custom orders by hand
Cross-train on 5-6 different jobs across the automation department

Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally, with team lifting for heavier items
Additional Skills Qualifications
Experience in healthcare assembly, production, packaging, packing, and inspection
Familiarity with inventory stock, warehouse environment, RF scan gun, and general labor
Ability to work with an RF scanner, pick items, and perform labeling

Work Environment
The work environment is clean, organized, and similar to a small production facility with conveyors but no heavy machinery. It is temperature-controlled at 70 degrees or below, requiring long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. Employees can wear one headphone at a time in the pick cells. The facility has a hot food cafeteria for the day shift. Phones are allowed in pockets for listening to music/podcasts but cannot be used for calls or texts during work. Employees must comply with strict no phone and no food or drink policies. Shifts are 6pm-6am on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule, with paid breaks and lunches, and built-in overtime.
