  Marketplace Manager

  There is an opening for a Marketplace Manager on our Kipling Americas eCommerce team. This position is responsible for driving the strategy and growth plans within existing and new marketplace channels. This position will be responsible for channel sales goals and metrics, development of marketplace initiatives through agency and eCommerce team partnerships, and identification of new opportunities. The Marketplace Manager will report to the Senior Director, Digital.

  How You Will Make a Difference

  What you will do:

  Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting marketplace plans and performance to senior management.

  Identifying channel and assortment optimization opportunities in collaboration with internal partners and external agencies. These would include but not be limited to ecommerce buying and planning teams, merchandising, and marketing, as well as marketing agencies and the 3rd party marketplace management agency.

  Oversee cross-functional team and key stakeholders to ensure Amazon store, listings and A+ content is up to date and completed on-time.

  Partner with marketplace management agency to ensure accuracy of product, pricing, and content.

  Partner with marketing agencies to manage and drive paid marketing opportunities including AMS, sponsored listings, and more.

  Researching, developing, and launching new marketplace channels including international.

  Interact directly and collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate assortment by marketplace channel. Partner with wholesale and buying teams to ensure exclusivity by channel.

  Monitor competition and provide insights and actions to grow market share.

  Review customer feedback and marketplace health reporting, ensuring all issues are identified and addressed.

  How you will do it:

  Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and product visibility of Kipling products on marketplace channels.

  Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  Work closely with buying and planning team to ensure inventory levels are optimized to meet demand without overstocking.

  Target, acquire, and onboard new marketplaces.

  Stay updated on e-commerce industry trends, marketplace platform changes and best practices to adapt and optimize strategies accordingly.

  What success looks like:

  Develop and achieve divisional sales goals for marketplace channels.

  Increase market share.

  Manage successful CPC campaigns, improve ROAS, optimize bids and keyword development.

  Skills for Success

  Years of related professional experience: 4+ years’ experience in managing a successful Marketplace e-commerce business.

  Educational position requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  What we expect you already know:

  Proficiency with (4+ years) Amazon Seller Central including FBA and strong knowledge of SLA's & KPI's of the platform.

  Strong knowledge of Amazon's flywheel business model

  Experience with Walmart, Target, and similar marketplaces

  Experience with Amazon advertising and campaign management

  Proven track record of managing external agencies to deliver on key Initiatives to drive overall business objectives

  Passion for retail e-commerce analytics and intellectual curiosity

  Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  Strong ability to multi-task, extremely organized with attention to detail

  High level of initiative (self-motivation) to take on projects independently

  Retail e-commerce experience

  Hiring Range :

  $92,400.00 USD - $115,500.00 USD annually

  Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
