  If you have a passion to serve your fellow Idahoans in ways that make a direct impact and a difference, we are looking for you! The Family and Community Services division is currently seeking an energetic leader for a Human Services Supervisor.

  This position will guide and assist workers in making day-to-day decisions for Child Welfare cases including decisions that involve child safety and child well being. This position has the authority to implement safety plan decisions.

  This announcement is for one full-time 8 month temporary employee at 40 hours per week and one part-time 12 month temporary employee at 26 hours per week.

  The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.

  EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  Develop and implement unit work plans.

  Provide input into program policies, goals, and procedures.

  Ensure quality of service delivery activities within the residential setting.

  Determine milieu priorities, provide training, and evaluate staff performance.

  30% Crisis management and daily case management support.

  30% Case consultation.

  25% Individual and group supervision.

  15% Administrative tasks.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.   Some knowledge of supervisory practices.Typically requires completion of a class or seminar (more than one day) specifically covering supervisory practicesORlead work experience that required work direction, monitoring work, and making work assignments (such experience on a fill-in basis if non-qualifying unless for a period of approximately three months or more)ORcompletion of a college-level personnel course.

  Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes.Typically requires completion of community organization/development course or workshops equivalent to three semester hours of college credit or 40 classroom hours of specific trainingORhas served in a direct services role for at least one year in case management or psychosocial or rehabilitation therapy or counseling and applying these principles in a community development role.

  Experience demonstrating good knowledge of human services principles and practices to include social and family systems, human growth and development, and case management methods.Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a social, behavioral science, or human services field such as social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, education, nursing, sociology, or closely related field of study that includes family systemsANDat least one year of experience in social service delivery or case management.

  Good knowledge of early intervention services with infants and toddlers.Typically requires at least two years of experience providing early intervention services using evidence based practices.
