　　JOB TITLE: Kiln Car Repair

　　DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

　　LOCATION: Stanton, KY

　　TRAVEL: No

　　General Shale, Inc., the largest manufacturer of brick and masonry materials in North America, is seeking a Kiln Car Repairman for our state-of-the-art facility in Stanton, KY

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Rebuilding kiln cars from frame to completion

　　Mix, pouring and leveling decks, installing and leveling end, side and front deck blocks

　　Putting on rope sealer and fiber sealer, dumping hoppers, scrape out brick bits and sand from deck blocks

　　Use brick saw to cut refractories

　　Assigned work as necessary.

　　Manage the QC of all products being produced.

　　EDUCATION:

　　High school diploma or equivalent

　　Valid Forklift certification

　　WORK EXPERIENCE:

　　Quality oriented

　　Conscientious worker

　　Self-motivated

　　Able to read and write to keep accurate records

　　SKILLS REQUIRED:

　　Able to perform various form of physical labor (i.e lifting up to 50 lbs./ standing)

　　Committed to working in a zero harm workplace

　　Have a good mechanical aptitude

　　Must be mathematically inclined

　　Must be a team worker

　　Able to work flexible hours when needed

　　Must know or willing to learn the functions of the brick saw in a safe and efficient manner

　　Must be flexible and responsible.

　　Good supervisory skill set

　　Must be able to work in cold and hot climates as well as dusty and dirty environments.

　　Must be able to do weekend rotation with other supervisors.

　　Average of 50 hours per week.
