Major responsibilities for this County KEY Program Technician position would include serving as an expert in one or more of the following program area(s): ARC/PLC, MIDAS/GIS and Farm Records OR Compliance, GIS, LIP, NAP and RMA Spotchecks Responsibilities Assists the State Office with projects as assigned. Serve as a central resource for expert guidance, coordination, and assistance at the county office level with a district-wide or statewide collaboration for assigned programs. Explains procedures, program regulations and forms in the assigned programs to agency personnel. Provides guidance on web-based software applications to Program Technicians. Develops and contributes creative ideas and solutions to program operations and/or issues resulting in added value to the State's products and services. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications are in accordance with requirements in Handbook 27-PM. Applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date in the announcement, including the following specialized experience and/or education, as identified below: You may start at the CO-08 level if you have the following qualifications: One year of experience directly related to the functions of the position to be filled equivalent to the CO-07 in FSA County service or GS-07 in FSA Federal service. Experience that shows your ability to perform more complex or difficult duties: and that shows your ability to learn the specific work of this position. Education Additional Information Veterans preference does not apply since this position is being advertised under Title 7 authorities. Relocation expenses are not authorized.
