　　Discovery Community College has an instructing opportunity available for the right individual, to help guide our students through their Justice and Community Safety Diploma Program.  

　　Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting their communities, leading students through their basic security training as part of a training toward entering the work force as fully qualified and desperately needed professionals in the fields of community safety, security, and justice .

　　The instruction will be through in-house/facility and/or online classrooms and in accordance with all COVID-19 protocols and procedures.

　　What you have:

　　Passion for making a real difference required!

　　Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)

　　Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or

　　Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)

　　2+ years of management or teaching experience in higher education or justice related training

　　Bachelor’s degree in criminology or equivalent combined relevant education and experience in justice and community safety related fields

　　Superb communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

　　Excellent organizational skills

　　Excellent analytical and innovative problem-solving skills

　　Experience leading a team or course including coaching and motivating

　　Strong technology skills (LMS, student information and scheduling systems, learning apps)
