Join our innovative team as an OT/IT engineer and be involved in every aspect of the development of automatic cranes. This ranges from ideas within projects, commissioning and support/maintenance on the network.
In this role you are the IT specialist. It is expected from you to take ownership on the awareness within the cranes team, with the customers and partners of Siemens on the best practices within the different IT networks. Development and commissioning is a key part of your job, therefore you will travel short periods of time to the customers location all over the world, approx.. 15% of your time. You will make sure everything is performing as it should be and properly documented according to the high standards of Siemens.
You will be working on complex projects dealing with the integration of a diversity of systems like: Automation and subsystem software, S7 PLC’s, HMI systems, PC networks, virtualization, cyber security topics. A typical project last for 1 to 2 years and is realized with development / design in the Netherlands & Germany followed by pre-commissioning in China and is finalized at the end customer location.
You will become the expert on cyber security in our IT networks for both internally & externally. In this role you will create, build, and implement cyber security solutions. After completion of the project you will train the customer and their own service team.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop, design & document technological concepts as applicable solutions.
• Realization of the solution according to the requirements together with the design documentation.
• Defining of the best suitable products, components and systems to be used and their characteristics.
• Supporting of the commissioning phase with the customers, analyzing potential malfunctions.
• Tracking, documenting, evaluating the development and building progress.

A bachelors or master degree in (Technical) Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in/Knowledge of IT: network, cyber security, datacenter or equivalent (in an industrial environment preferable). Experience/willing to learn cyber security according to IEC62443 and ISO standards.
Bonuspoints: NetOps technologies like: Python and Ansible, Virtualization Knowledge: VMware or MS certification.
Troubleshooting skills in root cause analysis / performance tuning and monitoring.
Relevant experience with selecting and configuring: Active directory and Cloud environments.
Experience/willing to learn cyber security according to IEC62443 and ISO standards.
Ability to write clear and concise documentation (such as requirements, design and testing procedures).
Business fluent in English, an EU-passport is useful.
