Hiring journeyman electrician to work on the Duquesne University construction project in downtown Pittsburgh on Forbes Avenue.
MUST HAVE
Electrical experienceWill be installing conduit, cable trays, etc in commercial and industrial construction environments. Will also be installing lights and low voltage appliances and hardware once main conduit and wiring is ran. Will need to be on a ladder, using tools, and working in an environment that requires high attention to detail.Own hand toolsWill need wire strippers, cutters, screw driver, pliers, tools belt, etc.Own transportationReliability has been a re-occuring issue with the client. We want our people having reliable transportation to and from job site, not reliant on anyone else. And has the ability to either park downtown or get to the downtown job site, on time, every single day.Hiring for a journeyman commercial electrician to work in the Greater Pittsburgh area on new construction projects.
Other duties will be material handling, cleaning up, assisting other electricians with tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Electrical experience - Must have journeyman level experience (3-5 years min) of COMMERCIAL or INDUSTRIAL construction.
• Conduit bending experience? Rigid or flex? (You want the answer to this to be rigid and stainless, ideally) What materials and size/gauge (aluminum, steel, etc.) 0.5 inches – 4 inches is typical range, the bigger the better because it’s more difficult to bend
• Did you do it manually or use a machine to bend it?
• Experience with cable trays or race ways? If so, explain. Walk me through that project, etc.
• What types of projects have you worked on? University? Hospital? Retail commercial? Describe the building and what you installed there.
• Voltages you’ve worked on? We want 240+, ideally 480
• OSHA 10, PEC card?
