Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java (Postgres SQL) Developer in Durham, NC.Responsibilities:
Java (Postgres SQL) Developer will work closely with Product Owner, Technical Program Manager, Technical Lead, Architects, System Analysts, and Scrum-Master design, build, test, and deliver capabilities, features, and enhancements
Providing mentoring to the team of developers with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology
Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies
Participating in the Platform team's effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process
As a Java (Postgres SQL) Developer, you will assist technical lead with technical guidance and mentor junior team members
Coordinating and leading research into new technologies independently, as part of a team and with the Architecture team to make judgement and recommendations for future releases
Contributing to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer project reviews, code reviews, design reviews and being available to help others when needed
Providing and taking leadership in taking business requirements and translate them into detailed designs, consider the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related fields)
6-9 years of development experience
Experience working with versioning using GIT and/or stash
Knowledge or experience working with Jenkins pipeline and Maven Modules
Knowledge or experience working with public cloud, Azure is preferred
Strength with SQL/PLSQL along with knowledge and experience with Unix scripting
Solid understanding of Rest concepts and developing Rest APIs using Spring Boot with Tomcat
Background with Message queues; RabbitMQ is preferred
Strong Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams and functional interfaces, Spring modules, including IOC, MVC(Rest), BATCH, spring boot along with other core components like oauth2 and security
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
