Purpose: DTI is seeking a seasoned Java Lead with mainframe experience. Role Description: We are looking for a Java Lead with extensive mainframe experience to spearhead our development team. This role requires a blend of strong Java programming skills and a deep understanding of mainframe systems to lead the development and integration of complex applications. Responsibilities: Lead Java development projects, ensuring integration with mainframe environments. Mentor and guide a team of Java developers, promoting best practices in both Java and mainframe technologies. Design and implement robust Java solutions that interact seamlessly with legacy mainframe systems. Drive the modernization of mainframe-based applications to Java platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in Java, expertise in mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2), strong leadership and project management skills, familiarity with Agile methodologies. Java certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) and mainframe technology certifications are a plus. Requirements: Minimum 7 years in Java development, with substantial experience in mainframe technologies. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. U.S. Citizenship required. Must be current on tax filings. Clearance: MBI clearance preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and maintain clearance.
