Our client is looking for a Site Design Engineer on the DARC program

　　Description:

　　As a lead Site Design Engineer on the DARC program, candidate will be responsible to drive the radar site design, derive and allocate requirements, support major A&E and construction subcontracts, review and redline large drawings packages for 30/60/90% reviews, support earned value and cost management, provide schedule inputs, and brief program leadership.

　　DARC will be designing and constructing a new site overseas.

　　Primary scope of the site development project includes roads, duct banks, foundations for many large antennas, multiple facilities, large-scale cooling systems, backup power, electrical distribution, and security fencing.

　　The successful candidate would have a background as an Electrical or Civil Engineer, or similar. They should have some broad site development experience with depth in some areas of the primary scope, be able to work in a large team environment, and work collaboratively with all Engineering disciplines and Program Management to meet our customer’s needs.

　　Responsibilities:

　　As an MEP Systems Engineer on the DARC program, you will be responsible to drive the radar site design, derive and allocate requirements, support major A&E and construction subcontracts, review and redline large drawings packages for 30/60/90% reviews, support earned value and cost management, provide schedule inputs, and brief program leadership.

　　DARC will be designing and constructing two new sites overseas and one in the US.

　　Primary scope of the site development project includes roads, duct banks, foundations for many large antennas, multiple facilities, chilled water systems, water management, power plant, electrical distribution, and security fencing.

　　The successful candidate would have a background as an MEP Engineer, or similar.

　　They should have some broad site development experience with depth in some areas of the primary scope, be able to work in a large team environment, and work collaboratively with all Engineering disciplines and Program Management to meet our customer’s needs.

　　Working on a team of 7 that are designing for a first of it's kind DOD project

　　Travel is 10% out of country - project in UK

　　Overall budget for this project is $500 million and this team is in charge of 1/3 of that. Opportunity to play an integral role on a mission critical team

　　Don't need clearance so they will sponsor one for you

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one

　　Experience working within AutoCAD or Bluebeam

　　Bachelor/Masters of Science in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience

　　Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite

　　Ability to travel up to 10%

　　Experienced with the Architecture and Engineering (A&E) design process

　　Experienced with reading, interpreting, and review of design drawing packages

　　Experienced with site design, development, and construction

　　Technical design experience in at least one primary element of A&E design (i.e., power plant or BESS design, HV/LV power distribution, civil engineering, facility mechanical systems)

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　• Active DoD Top Secret clearance

　　• Technical design experience in more than one primary element of A&E design

　　• Major subcontract technical management

　　• Experienced with overseas construction

　　• Experienced with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)

　　• Experienced with International Building Code (IBC)

　　• Experienced with National Construction Code (NCC)

　　• Experienced with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

　　• Experienced with supervising large scale construction projects

　　• Experienced with proposal development and proposal evaluation

　　• Experienced with construction cost estimating software (i.e., RSMeans)

　　• Experienced with value-added engineering and constructability analysis

　　• Experienced with earned value management and program schedule derivation

　　• Experienced with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (i.e., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or other)

　　• Experienced with Radio Frequency (RF) microwave systems such as radars or satellite communications system
