  Position Overview:

  The Janitor is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the MOC offices, toilets, kitchen, stairs and elevator are kept in a clean and orderly condition. This person will provide a high-quality cleaning service that includes tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins, and polishing surfaces.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Welcome/Reception Area

  Keep the front area of the office vacuumed, with the frequency depending on daily traffic. Straighten reading materials and dispose of litter. Sweep/vacuum stairway and elevator daily.

  Bathrooms

  Sweep and mop bathroom floors every day. Wipe down and disinfect the toilets, counters and sinks. Remove trash nightly.

  Individual Workspaces

  Empty waste baskets for each cubicle or office space. Vacuum floors every night.

  Break Room/Eating Area

  Floors in the break room/eating area should be swept whenever there is trash in sight on the floors. Mop the floors nightly and disinfect the tables, counters and the outside of the refrigerator(s) with antibacterial cleaner daily. Clean refrigerators weekly, disposing of unused food and bags. Empty trashcans daily.

  Conference/Meeting Rooms

  Clean the overall space nightly and as needed. Set up and break down rooms as needed for a variety of events that will occur.

  Overall Office Space

  Clean the overall office space nightly and as needed. Vacuuming when it will not disturb the office. Sweep whenever trash is present. Collect trash from each waste basket that has trash. Notify administration when materials are running low so that they can be ordered centrally. Weekly use carpet freshener to give the office a clean smell.

  Required Qualifications and Skills:

  Highschool diploma or GED.

  Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.

  Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.

  Customer-oriented and friendly.

  Prioritization and time management skills.

  Working quickly without compromising quality.

  Comply with MOC and OSHA safety procedures.

  Must be able to communicate well verbally and written.

  Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and lift items and/or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

  Reliable transportation.

  Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
