About IT System Specialist

  Overview

  This position is responsible for setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems that the business uses to maintain computer and software. The role will act as the primary point of contact for all operational needs relating to our On-prem and cloud-based systems. The position will also handle issue escalations relating to end user systems as part of the overall support strategy.

  This position will work on-site in the office located in Alpharetta.

  Responsibilities

  The Information Technology (IT) System Specialist will oversee activities required to support several critical platforms within the company’s technology portfolio:

  Reducing end user workstation vulnerabilities by ensuring machines stay updated and patched through Microsoft Intune

  Oversee AirWatch MDM for app/patch deployment for all mobile devices.

  Promote self-service tools and the knowledge repository as mechanisms to improve end-user satisfaction and reduce costs.

  Perform trend analyses and develop action plans for improving service timeliness and reducing costs.

  Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.

  Maintain and oversee deployment process for computer images via Windows Autopilot

  Leads the effort to ensure all IT assets are documented, catalogued, and kept up to date in the CMDB tool.

  Interfacing with various vendors in support of the hardware, software systems, and Phone systems.

  Installing and maintaining proper software and application resources

  Communicating with other support groups within Motrex while providing hands and feet support as required.

  Responsible for the implementation of new security-based rollouts that impact the end user as well as remediation for existing rollouts.

  Occasional travel to remote sites may be required.

  Must be available for off-hour support and on-call rotations when necessary.

  Responsible for developing standards/processes and knowledgebase documentation.

  Reasonable level of understanding ITIL and ITSM environment.

  Qualifications

  Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.

  5 years or more of hands-on with IT systems administration.

  Should have one of these certifications:

  Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

  Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

  Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCIP)

  Amazon Web Service (AWS)

  Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

  Strong time management, and problem-solving skills.

  Excellent attention to detail.

  Competencies

  The IT System Specialist must demonstrate the following attributes:

  Proactively monitors environment for issues and improvement opportunities.

  Excellent troubleshooting.

  Ability to solve problems quickly and methodically.

  Incident handling across multiple locations to address critical issues.

  Understands customer requirements and project’s Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently at all levels with strong organizational skills and a solution-based, problem-solving mindset.

  Experience supporting Enterprise-level organizations’ PC support needs, along with some Executive Level/VIP support while being flexible, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines.

  Knowledge

  The IT System Specialist must have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  Advanced knowledge of Windows and MacOS.

  Understands Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Active Directory (AD).

  Good understanding of Virtualization: VMWare/Hyper-V and Azure.

  Understands Windows Active Directory domain structure.

  Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and the suite of products.

  Experience with client management using Microsoft Intune.

  Understands basics of cyber security and compliance requirements

  Proven track record of resolving both hardware and software issues.

  Experience working in a Manufacturing environment is a plus.
