Located in the city of Denver, Denver Health, in collaboration with theUniversity of Colorado School of Medicine, is seekinganIntermittent/Hourly/Part TimeInterventional Radiologist to join ourteam. Denver Health aims for a world-class interventional radiology (IR)division focused on delivering efficient, productive, and cutting-edgeclinical care; a robust and growing educational program for students andresidents; and a research portfolio focused on collaboration with othersinside and outside the department. The IR section providers are comprised offour full time physicians and one nurse practitioner. With two fluoroscopysuites and a third combined fluoroscopy-CT suite, the section provides theentire gamut of IR procedures including: interventional oncology, men'sand women's health interventions, trauma embolizations, superficial anddeep venous interventions, and musculoskeletal and pain interventions.Clinic and inpatient rounds ensure important longitudinal care for ourpatients

The IR section recently completed major renovations in 2021 with theinstallation of three state of the art Canon fluoroscopy suites one of whichis integrated with a CT scanner - the only combined fluoroscopy-CT suite inColorado. Dedicated provider workspaces complement the fully capable proceduresuites. IR is located on the first floor of the main hospital adjacent to theemergency department with easy access to both the medical and surgicalintensive care units. The extensive network of outpatient Denver Healthclinics and busy ED/inpatient services generate a robust and varied IRpractice with over 4500 procedures performed annually.

The candidate being soughtwill participate in the delivery of the full spectrum of interventionalradiolo
Denver Health interventional radiologists actively participate in theeducation of University of Colorado medical students, diagnosticradiology, and integrated and independent interventional radiologyresidents. The section also serves as a training site for Red Rocks physicianassistant students. The IR section, and Department of Radiology as awhole, value patient-centered care and a highly collaborative workenvironment. There is a strong working relationship with surgery,oncology, medicine, and other services.
Candidate Qualifications:
MD., D.O. or foreign equivalent medical degree; board certification oreligibility in Interventional Radiology; eligibility for licensure in ColoradoThe ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professorrank, depending on experience. Experience/aspirations toward having alocal and/or national reputation of clinical excellence, teaching, andscholarly excellence is preferred.
Position Details, Salary, and Benefits:
This position is an Intermittent/Hourly/Part Time IR position;compensation is based on an hourly rate, as well as a defined on-call rate.The coverage needed includes on-call pager coverage and potentially occasionaldaytime shifts.
