  Group Summary

  The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

  About the Role

  Understand company issues or needs and propose potential solutions. Perform a liaison function between outside vendors and the company. Answer end user problem calls via email, phone, and/or Matrix42 call system. Understand when the call needs to be escalated to a different support group. Assist users and maintenance with general information and configurations. Provide support by troubleshooting various issues and performing repairs.

  Your Responsibilities

  Provide support for production and maintenance.

  Be able to determine if the issue is related to something with industrial controls (PLC) or computer system. Maintain, install, upgrade, and support any servers within the building. Perform necessary backups. Schedule maintenance.

  Deploy, configure, maintains, and monitors network equipment. When an issue arises, be able to respond quickly to keep production running. Plan and implement network designs; test network prior to installation to verify functionality.

  Use active directory to look up and configure users and computers. Install, configure, upgrade and support Lotus Notes/Exchange emailing systems.

  When deploying new systems, ensure virus protection is implemented to prevent any potential security risks. Provide support for ShoreTel phone system, configure new users, and deploy new phones. Use WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) to manage and deploy updates to end user computers.

  Maintain a level of confidentiality when needed. Manage cell phones Android/iphone/flip and deploy company email to smartphones when needed. This includes configuring email on smartphones (Android/iPhone). Oversee the work performed by junior/level 1 technician providing suggestions and guidance as needed. Troubleshoot, repair, install, and configure SATO, Xerox, and HP printers/copiers.

  Who we are looking for

  Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills to work with users at various levels within the Company.

  Must be able to express technical idiom in a non-ambiguous manner. Demonstrated ability to perform work, such as installation and repair, which may involve driving, lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, etc.

  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, participates in opportunities for training.

  Demonstrated strong understanding of personal computer workstations and technologies to be able to install equipment and systems safely and effectively.

  Demonstrated ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity.

  Your preferred qualifications

  Self-directed, able to work independently.Associate degree preferred.

  Experience working in 24x7 manufacturing environments.

  Minimum of 2 years’ working as a sysadmin within a manufacturing environment/site, four years preferred.

  Minimum of 2 years in Windows administration is preferred.

  Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in network/server administration preferred.
