The Reservation Services team has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager. Reservation Services is responsible for the development and support of services and APIs that allow our customers to create, modify, retrieve, and search for reservations for all our brands including Enterprise, National, and Alamo. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with product owners and collaborate with other IT leaders to enable capabilities for our customers. Now is an exciting time to be a part of this team, as we are building the APIs for the future. We are in the midst of building out key APIs on modern platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) that will power Enterprise Mobility for years to come.
As the Manager on this team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse project team for the Booking API application. This includes the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a day-to-day basis, as well as an evaluation of existing applications to determine technical changes. You will also be asked to determine time and resources needed to complete assignments, lead team members in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks and projects, as well as identify and resolve roadblocks, determine timelines, raise risks, and identify solutions. You will be in the position to develop and maintain procedures that support team activities associated with specific area of expertise or responsibility and leads individuals in adhering to and supporting team procedures. As a Manager, you will also be responsible for people management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Defines, develops, communicates, and implements standards, processes, and procedures for the team. Establishes key performance metrics for the team and monitors to ensure compliance of established standards, processes, and procedures. Assists in the development of department metrics.Plans and executes operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a day-to-day basis, ensuring accountability and meeting commitments.Approaches situations from a big-picture perspective and considers long-term objectives when working on application roadmap and strategies.Helps define the goals and objectives to support the overall strategic vision for Account Maintenance, and the processes and resources needed to fulfill them.Buildsand maintains strong relationships across business lines to help drive usage in our tool.Partners with business stakeholders and other IT application teams to understand and achieve their vision, while assessing implications and mitigating risk to our IT systems.Effectively communicates in a professional manner with various stakeholders within the company, including Company Officers, business users, support teams and IT developers/analysts.
