About IT Infrastructure Engineer, EPAM Energy Practice

  EPAM is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a broad IT background who is bilingual in English and Spanish.   RESPONSIBILITIES

  Work as a consultant team member on the management and/or implementation of various IT Infrastructure components

  Conduct requirements workshops and analysis to capture customer’s needs

  Configure and set up both on-premises and cloud infrastructure components

  Liaise with customers and team members on all technical phases of projects

  Assist with technical tasks to ensure alignment with business objectives

  Perform issue resolution, analysis, and troubleshooting

  REQUIREMENTS

  System Administration

  Extensive expertise in administering Linux and Windows-based systems both in on-premises and cloud environments

  Experience managing Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL databases

  Experience optimizing the performance of databases, networks, software applications, and servers

  Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies & processes

  Networking

  Practical networking skills with firewall operations, VPN, routing protocols, and subnetting

  Experience with cloud networking and technologies

  Scripting languages

  Experience in writing scripts with at least one scripting language such as Python,  Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash, Perl, PowerShell, etc

  Cyber Security

  Experience with cyber security software, tools, and management of on-prem and cloud environments

  Non-technical skills

  Effective communication skills

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  Strategic thinking

  A continuous learning attitude and eagerness to research new technologies

  Ability to work in a team-based environment

  Ability to build and maintain relationships with third parties and internal employees

  Proactive, flexible, and positive attitude

  Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize when faced with multiple tasks

  Bachelor’s degree or higher

  Minimum of 8 years’ experience with IT Infrastructure

  A solid foundation with operating systems, networking, databases, cyber security, virtual machines, disaster recovery, and cloud environment (AWS and Azure)

  Fluent in Spanish
