Job Overview: The IT Generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support within our organization. This role involves a broad range of tasks including hardware, software, and network maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working at heights, willing to work overtime, available to work off-hours as needed, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support for all IT-related concerns, including hardware, software, and networking issues. Triage incoming and end-user reported hardware and software issues. System Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on network systems to ensure optimal performance. Provision and support deployed end user devices (computers, tablets, smartphones). ```{=html}

Basic understanding of wired and wireless networking. - User Training and Support: Train staff on new technologies and provide ongoing support to ensure efficient use of IT resources. Assist and train end users involving all aspects of IT-managed technologies. - Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect systems and data from unauthorized access. - Documentation: Maintain detailed records of systems configurations, issues, resolutions, and department processes. Create and maintain consistent documentation for department and end-user consumption. - Project Management: Participate in IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget. - Compliance: Follow and comply with all Information Technology Department policies and procedures. Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations within the company handbook, safety policies, and procedures.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Working knowledge of operating systems and common productivity applications. Understanding and ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software. Willingness to learn and keep current with the latest developments in technology. Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact as a team member and work collaboratively with all departments. Capable of lifting and handling equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
