  Job Description

  The opportunity

  We are seeking a competent individual with relevant local experience in compliance relating to market conduct and investigation in the insurance industry.

  Responsibilities

  Conducting investigations in relation to market misconduct that are referred to Manulife directly or referred from external sources (e.g. MAS and FIDReC).

  Prepare for monthly Disciplinary Committee meetings on investigation findings for Panel review.

  Support to convene deviation hearings against sanctions and communicate to relevant parties.

  Assist to train more junior members and review investigation reports as necessary.

  Provide adverse information for reference check requests for ex-Financial Planners and screenings conducted by other business units.

  Conduct ad-hoc review escalations of potential market misconduct indicators.

  Conduct trainings on Market Conduct standards to Manulife tied-agency force.

  Involved in corporate or department initiatives or projects, where required, and lead in processes enhancement within the sales compliance team.

  Capable of handling more advanced compliance work and leading/supporting of ad-hoc projects.

  What we are looking for

  Diploma or Degree in finance, business, or related field.

  A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.

  Background in Distribution Compliance is essential.

  Professional qualifications such as FLMI, Diploma in Life Insurance, and completion of CMFAS Exams (M5, M9, M9A, CHI, M8, M8A).

  Diploma in Financial Planning is a plus.

  Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, showcasing a strong tech-savvy aptitude.

  Demonstrated ethical and tenacious mindset.

  Efficient communication, analytical, and report writing skills.

  Proven ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day guidance.

  Strong problem-solving skills.

  Collaborative attitude with a team-player mindset.
