Job Description Summary
Intramural Officials must complete staff trainings for the sports that they will be working on a semester basis. Officials are expected to maintain an objective stance on all Intramural Sporting Events and promote fair play and good sportsmanship with participants. Intramural Officials/Event Assistant will also assist the Structured Sports Supervisor at events not requiring officials such as Sport Club competitions or practices.

Responsibilities
Assist with oversee Intramural Sport and Sport Club competitions and events (practices and tournaments) which include:Displaying confidence when enforcing the policies and rules for all Intramural Sports
Staying consistent when making calls
Checking-in participants for intramural contests
Scorekeeping intramural contests
Remaining calm in all situations when dealing with participant discrepancies
Communicating effectively with other officials, supervisors, and participants
Assist with proper facility setup/cleanup
Meeting evaluation expectations
Ensure that all policies and procedures for the University of Pennsylvania and the Campus Recreation Department are enforced.
Attend all meetings assigned by Structured Sports Administration. Complete trainings for all Intramural Sports.
Adhere to risk management guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by Structured Sports Administration.
