JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Under the direction of the BehavioralHealth Division Manager, the Intervention Services Supervisor isresponsible for providing supervision and coordination over theoperations, services, and personnel involved in emergency mental healthand adult protective services. Duties include supervising andparticipating in the processing of emergency/inpatient court servicesand guardianship reviews; coordinating case management activitiesbetween court personnel, corporation counsel, law enforcement, inpatientor medical facilities and other professionals; and assisting theBehavioral Health Division Manager implement new procedures or protocolsfor crisis stabilization and linkage to community-based services.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: -Coordinates, monitors, andauthorizes inpatient, stabilization, crisis respite, and Chapter 51, 55,and 880 court orders. Provides and assigns case management for theseservices and makes decisions concerning outcomes and clienttreatment/service plans based upon clinical assessment, discussions withother professionals and resources available. -Processes all mentalhealth and AODA court services including emergency detentions,commitments, protective services, placements and guardianships. -Assignsduties to staff, approves interventions and services provided, advisesstaff regarding appropriate protocols, procedures and follow up neededwith clients. Monitors staff activities, documentation, and proceduresto assure compliance with agency policies and procedures. -Providesdirect supervision and consultation, including group, individual, and asneeded per staff request. -Provides emergency crisis services forclients including crisis line backup coverage and face-to-faceassessments, as needed. -Develops, updates and reviews crisis plansdeveloped for acute and/or high needs clients. Supports crisis team andcommunity mental health providers with training and consultation tosupport ancillary services and reduce ongoing crises andhospitalization. -Assists with the assessment of clinical needs forconsumers enrolled/referred to emergency mental health servicesrequiring more intensive and ongoing clinical care. -Implementation andapplication of quality assurance procedures to support programcompliance. -Monitor fiscal budget of emergency services within thebehavioral health division, including oversight of contracts andexpanding provider network. -Participate in the application,implementation, and monitoring of grants related to emergency mentalhealth services, such as the Substance Abuse Block Grant, Mental HealthBlock Grant, and the Community Mental Health Services Block Grant.-Participate in local and regional emergency services planning meetings,adult protective service meetings, and prevention related committees.-Assists with facilitation and implementation of the InterdisciplinaryTeam by engaging and networking with community members to expandresources for aging populations. -Serves as program liaison with lawenforcement, local medical center, and other agencies involved indetermining emergency detentions or emergency services. -Development ofDiversion Options as an alternative to Inpatient placement for emergencyservices. -Performs other duties of a comparable level and type, asrequired. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Three years ofdirectly related work experience in the delivery and coordination ofemergency/inpatient and course services.
