　　The Princess Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid (remote) summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

　　2024 Program Dates (two options)

　　Program runs 10 weeks from June 10th - August 16th or June 17th - August 23rd.Eligibility

　　Eligible candidates are enrolled in an accredited Graduate or Ph.D. program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

　　MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2024.

　　Compensation

　　Graduate Student - $35.00/hr, Ph.D. Student - $45.00/hrIntern Opportunity – Hotel Operations Analytics

　　This internship offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Princess by directly influencing guest satisfaction and NPS. You’ll be responsible for enhancing the guest experience and elevating the Net Promoter Score (NPS) through an in-depth analysis. The core objective is to unravel the intricate dynamics of the customer journey, specifically targeting the relationship between guest services efforts and post-cruise interactions. Utilizing data from CRM, guest surveys, and booking records, the intern will collaborate with Hotel Operations, business leaders, and data scientists to craft insightful dashboards and analytics. By identifying trends, this project aims to refine business processes, enhance resolution effectiveness, and ultimately contribute to a remarkable guest experience.

　　Assesses and formulates relevant business cases in close collaboration with existing business functions, such as marketing, sales, and revenue management. This involves leveraging emerging AI and analytics technology to showcase its potential in advancing key business KPIs.

　　Utilizes data science tools and techniques for the analysis of extensive datasets, crafting custom models and algorithms to reveal trends, patterns, and insights within the data.

　　Translates business challenges into data mining problems, ensuring analytical objectivity for data quality, consistency, repeatability, and accuracy of insights.

　　Develops a profound understanding of analytical requirements, utilizing knowledge of Princess data assets and big data technologies to create and implement testing hypotheses, use cases, and analyze corresponding results.

　　Formulates business inquiries and employs mathematical techniques to derive answers through data analysis, translating findings into actionable business recommendations.

　　Collaborates with various Princess business units to facilitate data gathering, enhance key performance indicators, and promote data democratization through effective data governance.

　　Conveys the outcomes and business implications of insight initiatives to stakeholders across all levels, including C-suite executives.

　　Requirements

　　Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams

　　Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage

　　Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

　　The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

　　Majors Preferred

　　Data Science (highly preferred) or Advanced Business AnalyticsSkills Preferred

　　Proficiency in programming languages, including Python and R, with hands-on experience using analytical tools such as Python (Numpy/Pandas), scikit-learn, CART, and statistical tools within the R open source library.

　　Advanced proficiency in statistical and machine learning modeling techniques, encompassing regression, decision trees, neural networks, support vector machines, supervised/unsupervised clustering techniques, data engineering, and experimental test design.

　　Demonstrates adept knowledge of SQL through the creation of scripts for analysis and reporting (SQL, MySQL), along with significant experience working with relational databases and SQL.

　　Exhibits expertise in utilizing visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
