　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Provides leadership and management of a 24-hour operation (three shifts) inclusive of assigned facilities. This position works under the leadership of the Director and provides support and accountability to ensure the quality and cleanliness of the facilities. Supports all patient experience, leadership, and employee initiatives by developing and implementing consistent training, operational processes and practices. Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the hospitals by collaborating with Infection Prevention, all departmental/facility partners and external vendors/contractors. Manages and controls financials for the EVS department which includes labor expenses, operating supplies and equipment. Communicates with team members and leaders across and at all levels of the organization as it relates to environmental services.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Required Education: Associates degree plus 2 years’ supervisor experience in healthcare environmental services/housekeeping experience OR a High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of healthcare experience with (3) or more of those years functioning in a supervisor capacity.

　　Preferred License: Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) or Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH).

　　Required Experience:

　　Two years previous experience as a Supervisor of an environmental services department for an inpatient healthcare facility with a 500-bed minimum.

　　One year previous technical experience in housekeeping/cleaning industry.

　　Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and intranet software, e-mail.

　　Experience with bed management software such as Capacity Management, Epic or others.

　　Experience with checking and inspecting, and evaluating environmental cleanliness of Floor work, both by observation and through evidence based testing of surfaces using devices, products, and or processes (ATP meters, fluorescent gel products/ UV lights).

　　Preferred Experience:

　　Three (3) or more years work experience as a Supervisor in a healthcare environment.

　　Bilingual Skills.

　　Experience managing culturally diverse groups of staff.

　　Experience with JCAHO, Department of Health, or other regulatory auditing agencies.

　　Experience in floor care cleaning- cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, finishing of hard floors. Hot water extraction, spotting, cleaning and interim surface cleaning (bonneting) of carpets/ or has program certification with an accredited cleaning agency such as the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, Restoration Certification (IICRC).
