Position: Internal Audit and Compliance ManagerCompany: Lessing's Hospitality GroupLocation: 3500 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY 11739*This position is fully in-person (no remote work)Job Duties & Responsibilities:Perform full audit including risk management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance. Obtain analyze and evaluate operational accounting documentation, reporting and data.Prepare and present reports that reflects audits results. Identify issues and potential loopholes and recommend solutions.Assist in ensuring that the Companys books and records are kept accurately; Assist with the regular accounting and financial reporting of the Company;Assist with updating and enhancing Company monitoring tools and administering the Companys compliance programAssist with conducting compliance trainings for the entire firm;Maintain effective internal controlsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processProvide support to external audit for quarterly and annual requests for non-regulated, accounting, tax, and payroll activities;Ensure timely and quality operational deliverablesReconcile Intercompany AmountsReview and reconcile vendor rebates quarterlyDevelop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsQualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting, auditing, or compliance roles, preferably within a regulated industry.Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX).Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Experience in the hospitality industry a plus!The Company: Lessings Hospitality Group is comprised of over 100 locations throughout the Northeast and Florida.
