Working under moderate supervision, the Business Integration is responsible for the delivery, design, optimization, and scalability of Westfield's middleware assets, services, and APIs. The Business Integration Specialist works directly with IT Security (ITSEC), application development, testing, network, systems administration and architecture teams to coordinate the implementation of middleware components. The Business Integration Specialist also ensures successful, seamless, and secure communication between various IT systems, application components, and vendors, both internal and external.3+ years of programming/systems analysis experience with an emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and/or middleware technologies.Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts, REST, network concepts, JEE, web services, and standard markup languages gained through previous work experiences.Knowledge and understanding of information security best practices and architectural standards in application and service integration gained through previous work experiences.Experience balancing priorities in order to meet multiple projects, requirements, and deadlines while ensuring priority objectives receive proper emphasis.Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with others in teams and collaborative work situations.Understanding and experience with contemporary operating systems, application servers, service gateways, and API Platforms, such as IBM MQ, Integration Bus, Datapower, and Mulesoft.Proven knowledge of basic application development principles and programming languages.Proficient software engineering competencies including architecture, standards, deployment and management of softwareExperience in troubleshooting and resolving data integrity issues, performance issues, replication issues, log issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.Experience in dealing with multiple business units and diverse employee population.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field or commensurate experience.Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
