The Industrial Engineering Intern will work directly with the Manufacturing and Packaging organization in reducing COGS and organizing its Continual Improvement program within Operations.This role will have guidance and mentoring from the Industrial Engineer and Operation Supervisor in Plymouth as well as from the Manufacturing & Packaging Associate Director. Tools/skills that will be utilized through this internship could include, but are not limited to: Value Stream Mapping of Multi-Functional Processes Data Collection Cycle Time versus Lead Time Analysis Non-Value add identification DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) Future state Process Mapping Change Management Tools Leadership Facilitation Entry Level CAD Entry Level Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal skills to influence, motivate, train and lead projects Projects will be driven by employee ideas as well as from those identified by the intern. The intern will also play a critical role in managing the Operation's Continual Improvement program. Requirements: Students currently entering Sophomore, Junior or Senior year and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Industrial Engineering preferred. This position will be required to work in a cGMP manufacturing environment and will be required to wear all necessary safety and PPE equipment.
