Job Overview:
Under the guidance of their assigned manager, the intern role will work with the Global Operations Group for McDermott performing analysis, reporting, and data gathering. The Inters will utilize data to identify trends and identify areas of improvements and potential efficiency increases. Additionally, Interns will be given exposure to project supply chain activities and support close-out related activities with the project team. Finally, Interns gain exposure to supplier relationship management dealing with category managers and supplier registration / qualification administrators.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Shadow employees from strategic sourcing group and senior personnel will use the McDermott’s systems including Smart Materials, Oracle, J.D. Edwards, and others to collect and analyze data.
Interns will be given exposure to unifi procedures and support process upgrades and changes requested by process executors.
The interns will learn supply chain practices and procedures within the McDermott organization as well as the how supply Chain operates in a large EPCI company, including procuring goods and services, managing materials, logistics, category management and the full supply chain lifecycle
Essential Qualifications and Education:
3.0 GPA or higher
Must be currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management or Construction Management.
Must have completed at least 2 years of college with a graduation year of 2024 or 2025.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
In 3rd or 4th year of college studies.
Ability to work as a team member.
Good communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Vision
