  Venturi, LLC, has an exciting career opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Intermediate Software Developer to support the US Army Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS). The AMPS program is part of the US Army’s Combat Capabilities and Development Command/Aviation and Missile Center/Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I). The Intermediate Software Developer will provide support to the AMPS Software Engineering Team and will research, design, develop, or test software and software-related systems for military or scientific use employing knowledge of software design methods.

  Responsibilities

  Develop, test, and deliver specific software functionality in support of government requirements.

  Coordinate with service program offices to ensure developed software meets their requirements.

  Contribute to testing activities, including writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing.

  Support software demonstrations and user test events.

  Contribute to improving the overall quality of software development processes and practices.

  Provide estimation of product development efforts.

  Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

  Support coordination on all aspects of software development, testing, acceptance, and support for multiple projects.

  Follow published policies and regulations.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience in software design and development OR

  AA/AS with 7+ years of relevant software development and design experience OR

  High school diploma or GED equivalent may be substituted for a BS/BA degree with 9+ years of relevant software development and design experience.

  Background check required and must possess a US government Secret clearance.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Knowledge of leading software design projects and successfully delivering software to the field

  Knowledge of writing and executing software test cases

  Knowledge of scripting languages

  Knowledge of test automation

  Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks

  Knowledge of working with databases using SQL queries

  Experience with programming in Java, C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, Kotlin, HTML, and CSS

  Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jira, as well as DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Git

  Experience working with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code

  Experience with Internet Information Services (IIS)

  Experience leading in Scrum methodology (Product/Sprint Planning, Backlog Management, Retrospectives, Reviews, and Daily Standup)

  Experience writing cross-platform code: C# (.NET, Xamarin/MAUI)

  Experience writing Web Apps: C# (ASP.NET Core, Blazor), JavaScript/HTML/CSS

  Experience in software development cybersecurity considerations and tools like Fortify

  Experience developing apps with Xamarin/MAUI

  Ability to travel 15-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations

  Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
