Responsibilities
The Collision Support Specialist is responsible for the overall technician skill development and coordination of all I-CAR and Industry training. In this role, focus is on the coordination of equipment support and training, aligning with the execution of company initiatives. Simultaneously, collaborating with Operations, to increase company quality, efficiencies and profitability. These goals will be accomplished through reduced rework, and increased technician and facility performance. With coordination from the Director of Collision Technology, teammates will develop and enhance skills that will be leveraged to support revenue generation and cost reductions.
Improve and Sustain Overall Repair Quality: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure repairs meet Crash Champions standards
User-Generated Audits: To identify underlying causes of poor quality/performance
Work with Shop Teammates: To enhance skills that leverage existing assets to increase the organization’s quality, efficiency and profitability.
Conduct Teammate Development: Focus on outlining equipment operation, best practices, safety, and maintenance; Manage all I-CAR and OEM skill development and training requirement compliance.
Address Skill or Facility/Equipment Based Concerns: Address concerns with the goal of improving downstream quality
Ensure Readiness Related to New Company Initiatives: Implement product/equipment launches, streamlining on-site implementation; Ensure that locations are preparing for emerging technology, equipment requirements, and technical repair data.
Support Facilities Team: Proactively troubleshoot and support vendors through Service Channel tickets.
Qualifications
5 years experience within the collision industry
In depth knowledge of collision repair principles, techniques, and procedures
Prior experience working in the Auto/Collision Repair industry
Ability to coach others
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in multiple virtual platforms, Microsoft Teams/Lifesize/PowerBI/Mobile Apps
Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
Possess I-CAR Certifications
