Summary You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (CONST MGR) at the RESIDENT OFFICER IN CHARGE OF CONSTRUCTION (ROICC) OFFICE of NAVFAC NORTHWEST in support of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP)NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This is an interdisciplinary position which will be filled by one of the following job series: General Engineer (0801) or Architect (0808). Responsibilities You will function as a senior experienced and independent engineer/architect and provide expert construction engineering and management advisory services. You will be responsible for enforcement of all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts. You will manage multiple priorities and independently develop and provide technical recommendations/solutions to complex problems encountered during the administration of the construction contracts. You will manage complex and challenging construction projects in various geographic locations in support of Navy, Marine Corps and other agency clients with critical, time-sensitive missions and functions. You will participate in pre-award contract meetings and constructability reviews. You will serve as the technical representative in matters involving contract modifications and claims. You will serve as lead technical support for claims/disputes/terminations processing, negotiation and resolution on assigned contracts.
