ThermoFisher mRNA unit in Monza is looking for Maintenance & Calibration Specialist role!
What will you do?
Provides support for maintenance and calibration activities (preventive or extraordinary) on the instruments and systems of the mRNA department carried out by technicians or external suppliers
Assists external vendors in installing and qualifying equipment as needed.
Completes and processes GMP documentation related to routine, preventive or extraordinary calibration, calibration and maintenance activities in accordance with technical standards and safety and data integrity procedures.
Documents and executes assigned activities in accordance with GMP procedures and department SOPs
Performs the activities necessary for the creation of instrument records within the management systems, working in collaboration with the HSE and Quality departments
If necessary, must be able to carry out minor repairs and checks on production instruments and equipment.
Provides support to all activities of the Maintenance and Calibration group.
Interacts effectively with colleagues, management, suppliers and external technicians to achieve desired results.
Identifies and suggests initiatives for the continuous improvement of processes, quality, safety and efficiency.
Perform work safely and in accordance with EHS requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Has a good knowledge of the main instrumentation used in the production of mRNA drugs: bioreactors, cross-flow filtration systems, chromatographs, etc.; as well as the most common analytical instruments used in IPC tests and the systems and instruments normally present in pharmaceutical production departments (HVAC systems, refrigerators and freezers, autoclaves, glassware washers...)
Is able to communicate, receive and understand information and ideas with different groups of people in a proactive and collaborative way
Is able to work under pressure by managing multiple projects and sticking to priorities
In-depth knowledge of GMPs
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
Has excellent team working skills
Ability to work without close supervision
Strong analytical, organizational skills and logical approach to problem solving
Has a good knowledge of the IBM Maximo management system
Possesses good basic computer skills (Office suite)
Education/ Experience
Degree in biotechnological, pharmaceutical or similar sciences or high school diploma preferably from a technical institute supported by proven work experience
at least two years of experience in the calibration and maintenance of pharmaceutical production and/or pharmaceutical laboratory instruments
