TheIntake Worker I (Shelter Advocate I) provides support to the IntakeWorker Director by providing supervision and intake of clients,maintaining security, and providing supportive services in a Christianatmosphere. This is a part-time 3rd shift position. About the role:Conducts intake interviews of incoming residents into shelter Assigns aproper room and distributes needed bedding and personal items Providesnecessary supervision of shelter and residents, assuring that rules andpolicies are being followed Maintains an awareness of client needsAnswers telephone calls, taking messages when appropriate Cleans shelterareas as necessary Prepares snacks for shelter residents Oversees lunchand dinner preparations in dining room Reviews log book and updatesentries as needed Performs room inspections Distributes medications asneeded Supervises volunteers and community service workers, whenassigned.
