Position Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Instrumentation Technician to join our team. As an Industrial Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial settings. Your primary goal will be to ensure the accurate and reliable measurement and control of processes and equipment.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, and maintain various types of instrumentation and control systems, including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical instruments.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation and control systems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on instrumentation and control systems to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to plan and execute instrumentation projects, upgrades, and installations.
Test and validate instrumentation and control systems to ensure accurate measurement and control of processes and equipment.
Program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other control devices to meet specific requirements.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand the operation and wiring of instrumentation and control systems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations, including documenting calibration procedures, test results, and equipment specifications.
Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as an Industrial Instrumentation Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of various types of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other control devices.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Valid Electrician license or certification (preferred).Additional Information
