  Grand Rapids facility builds electronic communication components, communication centers, beacon transmitters. These communication parts tell the command center what to do.

  As an Instrument Calibrator, Analyzer, Tester & Repair Operator you will be testing, analyzing, repairing, and calibrating the gyroscope and other aircraft instruments.

  Roles and Responsibilities:

  Role Summary:

  Test, analyze, repair, and calibrate aircraft instrumentsSolder terminalsPerform Laser and/or solder sealing of instrumentsWork in a clean-room environmentUse the following - hand tools, tweezers, jeweler's screwdrivers, microscopes, micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, Laser sealer, oscilloscope, hi-pot, digital multi-meter, wave analyzer, phase angle voltmeter, and angle position indicator

  Essential Responsibilities

  In addition, you will:

  Work under microscopes for long periods of timeUse soldering irons to perform certified soldering

  Qualifications/Requirements

  Ability to read and work from BlueprintsMust have basic computer skills - WindowsBasic electronic and mechanical experience a plusExcellent visual acuity (corrected or uncorrected) and good manual dexterity

  Eligibility Requirements:

  Candidates must successfully complete a written test and must demonstrate proficiency on-the-job to obtain quality certification in soldering and in each of the test, analyze, repair, and calibrate functions of the job.Must have completed HS Diploma/GED or higher2 years of experience in the repair and calibration of electrical and /or aircraft instruments

  Desired Characteristics:

  *Employees in this job classification who are assigned to work in the Customer Service group will be subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the applicable DOT/FAA regulations.
