JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The I/O role provides training servicesfor the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), which plans andcarries out instruction and validation in accordance with acceptedmedical practices and established military medical and operationaldoctrine. The I/O will be capable of instructing a mixed population ofSoldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned. The training may be conductedin a classroom or a field training/evaluation environment. The I/O willutilize approved simulation scenarios included in the course POI or asapproved by US Army EMS and ensure that the medical simulation scenariosare designed to be as realistic as possible. Therefore, he/she willutilize moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatricalspecial effects to simulate the injuries and environment that themilitary medic or first responder may confront during variousoperational echelons and or theatres. Moreover, he/she will assess thestudents\' critical thinking skills and psychomotor skills based ontheir ability to perform under these high-fidelity situations. The I/Owill be capable of instructing, demonstrating skills and testingSoldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT levels, as well as CLScourses. Responsibilities: Ensure that training courses address alllevels of students. Capable of instructing, demonstrating skills andtesting Soldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT, and NREMTNationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) level in support of EMTSustainment Course, as well as CLS courses. All I/Os must meet theminimum Instructor qualifications for course they instruct. Comfortableinstructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced andseasoned, in class sizes not to exceed the instructor /student ratios asdirected by the AMEDDC&S.
