Overview:
Jacobs is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to support our group in Hanover, Maryland – hybrid work is possible. This is a temporary assignment scheduled to last 7 months.
Successful candidate will have experience developing and delivering curriculum for instructor-led and asynchronous training programs supporting Department of Defense programs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate on existing training programs and blended learning implementation strategies
Providing quality assurance / control on design plans and instructional materials
Create professional level presentation materials; regularly participating in meetings requiring close interactions with various project stakeholders (clients, SME, and end users)
Perform needs and/or gap analysis to determine training needs; tracking work and schedules to ensure that work is completed within scheduling parameters
Produce quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Here’s What You Will Need:
Expert knowledge in adult learning theories, methods, strategies, bests practices, techniques of instructional curriculum development, and evaluation to assist in the development and delivery of a wide variety of training
Minimum 3 years experience overseeing instructional design using video; experience with production and editing of learning videos
Demonstrated experience working with subject matter experts to analyze and determine learning requirements, design solutions, develop engaging content, and implement and evaluate a variety of training solutions
Experience with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model of instructional design, or the equivalent, as well as experience and familiarity with a broad range of adult learning theories and models for evaluation of adult learning
Demonstrated experience and knowledge developing online training and learning tools and the knowledge to be able to successfully differentiate the needs of online training from instructor-led training
Ability to develop strategies for a variety of learning types and their delivery on a variety of platforms
Experience developing learning content in Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or the equivalent
Program evaluation experience including qualitative and quantitative analysis and data tracking
Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
Demonstrates analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques aligned with labor category mission
Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur
3 years of experience in the above mentioned

The base salary range for this position is $110K to $150K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
