About the Division
The Dental Assisting/ Dental Hygiene Instructional Faculty performs avariety of instructional duties while adhering to the rules of theCommission of Dental Accreditation. This position is a full-timeinstructor that may be used in the classroom, in skills labs,simulation, and clinically. The selected candidate may be used in anyteaching modality necessary to achieve the Dental Assisting/ DentalHygiene Program\'s goals.
Dental Assisting/ Dental Hygiene Instructional Faculty functions withinthe Certificate Degree in Dental Assisting and Associate degree inDental Hygiene Programs and seeks to support a student-centered learningenvironment, focused on helping Dental Assisting/ Dental Hygienestudents achieve their educational goals. Dental Assisting/ DentalHygiene Instructional Faculty are allocated teaching responsibilitiesthat achieve course, program, campus, and college outcomes. DentalAssisting/ Dental Hygiene Faculty are actively engaged in communityoutreach, curriculum development, and evaluation of student learningoutcomes. They contribute to the change processes, driven by college,campus, and program strategic plans. Dental Assisting/ Dental HygieneInstructional Faculty reports directly to the Dean of HealthProfessions.

About the Position
Position is available beginning in the 2023-24 academic year as anine-month contract. Faculty teach and work a set schedule over anine-month academic year, August - May, that could include day, evening,and weekend duties.
