CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSThe Instructional Designer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning for Sherwin-Williams Paint Stores Group. Following the standard ADDIE instructional design processes, job duties include, but may not be limited to:Use adult learning theory to guide the design processProvide support and participate in the implementation of training deliverablesConduct ongoing evaluation of new and extant training modules. Leverage system analytics, learner performance, and feedback to continuously improve materials, performance metrics, and user experienceParticipate in the needs analysis, design, and development of training modulesInteract with SME's/L&OD Lead in planning and scoping requirements for curriculumProvide consultative feedback and updates to project stakeholdersStoryboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content blended learning solutionsDesign, develop, and provide production/editing services for audio, photographic, video, and print media assetsParticipate in beta deliveries of new courses; occasional travel for needs analysis and pilot supportDevelop course-specific job aids and performance support materialsSelect appropriate instructional methods, define time frames, and preparing training materials in physical and digital formatsDefine and document learning objectives and assessment methodsCreate focused training activities for the appropriate audience and environment focusing training on what function participants need to learn to perform/do to be most successful in their jobDesign eLearning and training activities focusing on optimizing user journey, and engagement, while reducing user pain points and task abandonmentPartner with Vendors and L&OD DesignTeam to create eLearning, mobile learning, videos, and other digital assets, and leverage technologies for effective learning and development options for teammates. Manages the production of courses adhering to project plans and deadlines.Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contribute to new curriculum or program ideasConduct quality assurance tests on all eLearning and video projects to ensure a flawless user experienceWork proactively with subject matter experts/L&OD Leads on training development needs and gain the confidence of management by demonstrating professionalism and training expertise in a dynamic, changing environmentPartner with the technology team for testing and migrating deliverables to the LMSWork with content/curriculum owners to ensure training programs, modules, files, and materials are up-to-date and relevantProvide consultative feedback and support to internal training managers on training content, design, and migrationProactively and continuously focus on self-education and development and implementing best practices training and development through webinars, seminars, and organizationsTravel to company locations for needs analysis, gathering content, SME consultations, educational needs, and meetings as needed (approximately 10% travel)Other duties as assigned that support the mission of learning and development of Sherwin-WilliamsPOSITION REQUIREMENTSFORMAL EDUCATION:Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or related discipline (e.g., Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Instructional Technology)Preferred:Master's Degree in related disciplineKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:Required:Minimum of 5 years of training design, and development experience with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of e-learning, mobile learning, instructor-led, and ble
