　　Insect Research Worker:

　　Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am – 3:30pm

　　Target Pay Rate : $20.00/ hr

　　Duties will include:

　　The Insectary conducts insect rearing to support Insect management research; Prior experience working in a lab environment and with insects would be advantageous for this role. The job is highly routine, detail oriented and focuses primarily on insect colony care & maintenance, insect diet preparation, assisting researchers with insecticide bioassays & various insect management research trials.

　　• Receiving and sorting incoming seed

　　• Hand or machine counting seed by experiment prior to planting

　　• Sorting seed packets for planting and for shipping

　　• Shelling/Threshing crops

　　• Conditioning seed

　　• Ability to use Research equipment

　　• Applying seed treatment

　　• General housekeeping

　　SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

　　· A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

　　· Recent grads with a Biology education a plus

　　• Comfortable with insects

　　• Lab tech experience a plus

　　· Ability to multi-task is essential.

　　· Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

　　• Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs.

　　• Must be able to stand 8 hours a day

　　• Ability to work in dusty environment
