SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER/SME (MEF)
Bowhead seeks to network with a Information Technology Project Manager/SME to support our Marine Expeditionary Force G-2 Intelligence Operations Center Support Services contract in Camp Lejune, NC.The Information Technology Manager/SME is responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects using Agile methodologies and works closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to plan, execute, and deliver IT projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects including creating project plans, defining project scope, developing schedules, and managing resources
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture and promote the adoption of Agile principles and best practices
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors. Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively, and manage stakeholder expectations. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage changes to project scope and requirements
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
Develop contingency plans and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track
Anticipate and proactively address potential obstacles to project success
Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
Monitor and report on project financials and ensure adherence to budget and financial controls
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with project objectives
Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular reviews to identify and address quality issues
Drive continuous process improvement efforts to enhance project management practices within the organization
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and optimization of project management processes and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
Ten or more (10+) years of experience in DoD IT project management, with a focus on Agile methodologies
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and with high quality
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with Agile project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
Relevant Agile certifications, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), are highly desirable
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential risks and issues
Knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in IT project management and Agile methodologies
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret/SCI clearance at this location.
