NextGen Federal Systems, LLC (NextGen) is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to be part of a team supporting a Department of Defense customer. The Information Systems Security Officer provides cybersecurity support to the program. They provide guidance to the technical teams, participate in technical reviews/assessments and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) that focus on the software and system cybersecurity requirements. They participate in cybersecurity focused technical assessments and provide expert advice on cybersecurity issues.
Responsibilities:
Provide stakeholder reporting on all activities including system ATO statuses, and system cybersecurity risks
Take responsibility for maintenance of the Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) for assigned secure DOD mission critical systems
Work with the Information Assurance team and system stakeholders to manage ATO conditions, control assessments, and POA&Ms
Verify the quality of Information Assurance deliverables provided to ATOs
Required Qualifications:
This position requires on site presence at DISA
5+ Years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years of Cybersecurity experience
Proficiency with eMASS and RMF
Experience with cybersecurity process including working with stakeholders so systems achieve manageable levels of cybersecurity risk
Experience with ATO Risk management including conditions, controls, and POA&Ms
Security + (IAT Level II)
An active Secret Clearance
