Infant Mental Health Trainer/Facilitator, SPCC's Mary Ellen Institute
HOURS: Part-Time (20 hours per week) Status: Non-Exempt - Some flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required.
JOB SUMMARY: Dedicated to providing both Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) and Reflective Supervision training, consultation, and implementation support services to multidisciplinary professionals in the community who serve infants, young children and their families.Will assist with developing community relationships, assessment of discipline specific needs, customization of training and consultation structure as well as strategic planning.Work formally and strategically to advance IECMH and Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC) practices, competencies, policies as well as increase multi-disciplinary practices locally.This position includes both virtual and in person work environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors or Master's preferred in human services discipline, experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.Deep understanding and experience working within the lens of IECMH and RSC.Demonstrates high reflective capacity and practice, values relationship-based, trauma informed service provision with cultural humility and responsiveness.Endorsed through the New York State Association of Infant Mental Health (NYS-AIMH), or Endorsable within 12 months of hire.Group facilitation and relationship building skills required.Interest, passion and/or experience in working with infants and young children 0-6 years old from an IECMH perspective is required.Adherence to professional and ethical standards required, including ethical principles related to client interaction.Willingness to conduct continuous upgrading of professionalism by attending available workshops and seminars.A demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work and delivering services with a trauma-informed and equity lens.Skillsets to navigate various technology platforms and software including but not limited to: Zoom, Skype, Office 365, Power Point, etc.).The Society for the Protection & Care of ChildrenWORKING AT SPCC: As an employer, SPCC believes that it is our responsibility to offer a work environment that is family-friendly, supportive, and trauma-informed, with generous paid time off and flexible scheduling.
