About Industrial/Quality Engineering Co-Op (Fall 2024 - August Start)

  What to Expect in our Co-op Program: Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Copeland co-ops are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders. There is the potential to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of ways by exploring opportunities associated with your major and rotating through multiple departments.

  AS AN INDUSTRIAL/QUALITY ENGINEERING CO-OP, RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO YOU:

  Assist Senior Engineers with various projects

  Assess product for possible defects with RCA/data collection

  Collect data and analysis for Lean and Quality issues and opportunities

  Work with Production for process development and improvements

  Improve and create process documentation

  WHO YOU ARE:

  REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field

  Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester

  Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

  PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering

  Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

  Sophomore or higher class standing

  Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office

  Previous Co-op or Intern Experience with Copeland or another company

  Flexible Work Schedule

  The general working hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  About Our Location

  Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
