　　Job Description: Smith Companies is seeking skilled, experienced industrial maintenance workers with a highly trained eye for problem-solving to join our team. In this position, you will learn new and more advanced methods of industrial machine operation at the same time ensuring the plant is fully maintained to minimize plant downtime. 　　Plant Locations and Hours:

　　Pelham Plant - 100 Pardue Rd 35124

　　1st Shift Monday - Friday 6am- 3pm

　　General Responsibilities and Functions:

　　Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

　　Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

　　Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

　　Detecting faulty operations, and defective material and reporting those unusual situations.

　　Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

　　Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

　　Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.

　　Follow instructions given by the team leader.

　　Environmental and Physical Requirements:

　　Able to handle dust and noisy conditions.

　　Standing for long periods of time.

　　Repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching.

　　Ability to handle all weather conditions.

　　Must be able to lift 25-75 lb
